May and June News |
Foals
|

The sweet fragrance of plum blossoms, followed by the perfumed beauty of
lilacs, ushered in the month of May. The foaling pasture abounds with Spring’s
frolicsome foals, so full of promise & joy. The North Star Arabians foaling pasture has
become quite popular with photographers and observers, alike. And, what a great way to
wind out the day, watching foals play in the cool evening air, back-dropped by glorious
sunsets. |

May and June were busy with training outside horses and their people, as
well as with some trail riding for Lori. A 20 mile Mother’s Day trail ride with friends
on forest service roads, led to a 12 mile novice competetive trail ride for Lori and Khamur
near Big Arm in gorgeous Flathead Lake country, where they placed 6th. This ride set the
stage for the 25 mile Marc Fischer Memorial CTR out of Dayton, also located near Flathead
Lake. Both rides were sponsored by Hooves and Company, who incidentally, did a fabulous job putting on these rides. Lori and her Ravenwood Khamur took second place in their division at this ride. |
Both rides offered spectacular scenery and fantastic trails. Wildflowers were profuse on both rides. Views of Flathead Lake were to be enjoyed on both rides. The Marc Fischer Memorial Ride afforded fabulous views of three
lakes; Flathead, Lake Mary Ronan, and a private lake that part of the trail skirted
around. A good horse, good friends, good food, and good trails, made for a couple of
very good weekends. We’ll be back! During the month of June, we also had the pleasure
of participating in the annual St. Judes Trail Ride, sponsored by our local club, the Emerald Empire Arabian Horse Club, based out of Sandpoint, Idaho. The ride took
place on some great trails, located on The Western Pleasure Guest ranch. |

Our foaling season began in March, and concluded on May 30. Once again, we are filled with joy by our delightful foals. They are happy, healthy, and oh so wonderful! Inquiries regarding foals available for purchase are most welcome. Let us help you fullfill your dreams. | ||
