June 2005 Egyptian Event Memorial Trophy
The Egyptian Event is just over for this year. We — together with family and friends — put together this memorial to my mom, Evelyn Sandlas. The bronze was done by Chris Stevens of Gillette, Wyoming — a friend and super talented artist. It is to be given each year (the perpetual staying in Lexington and a beautiful bust going home with each winner) in Mom's name. Getting this put together is a dream come true and a super tribute to Mom, who loved and worked so hard over these horses for years. We miss her terribly. It is to be given to the Open Western Pleasure Champion each year, in her memory.
The crowning glory is that it was won this first year by a Ravenwood horse — Ravenwood (BBT) Majestic - a Majesty daughter out of an AK El Hassan daughter (Abydoss) She is owned by the Circle B Bar T in Fishtail, Montana. They are the most wonderful and supportive of friends. God has blessed us.
February 2004 Scottsdale
Marty and Clint of the Circle B Bar T in Fishtail, Montana, sent this pic of "Toby" (Qahteef) at Scottsdale, a 4 year old stallion who had never been to a show. He was a perfect gentleman at Scottsdale. "And now…he's ready for the next step." Qahteef is by Qahtahn and out of Ravenwood Bahiya (RG Al Mone out of *Bint Gabbara).
They report that they also have done super well with Ravenwood Quintesa (at the Event) and Ravenwood Majestic (western pleasure with Bob Hart).
